Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Morris County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's terms and privacy policy govern its handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Standard server, analytics, and advertising technologies may collect technical details when a page loads. These details can include:
- The visitor's IP address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device category and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- Date and time stamps for visits or events.
Browser Cookies
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors use the pages and to support site, analytics, or advertising functions. Browser controls can block or remove cookies. Some functions may respond differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- Operate the site and maintain acceptable speed and availability.
- Send a search request to the partner selected by the tool.
- Understand which Morris County release-record pages visitors find useful.
- Detect, diagnose, and repair technical faults.
- Display advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests.
Government and Third-Party Links
Pages link to Morris County Sheriff's Office and court resources, TDCJ and parole systems, federal or immigration portals, release records, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy and security practices apply.
Some advertising partners may use their own cookies or similar technology to follow activity across websites for interest-based advertising. That collection occurs on the partner's systems, not as a database maintained by Morris County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be processed or disclosed to the limited groups needed to provide and secure the service:
- Search partners that handle queries entered in their tools.
- Analytics providers that measure visits and performance.
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads.
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Requests for official Morris County records remain governed by the agency receiving them and, where applicable, the Texas Public Information Act. This private site's privacy practices do not alter that law.
Security Measures and Limits
Reasonable, standard security practices are used to protect information under our control. No internet transmission, connected service, or storage method can be guaranteed fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted personal data, a parent, guardian, or the minor may ask us to delete information held by this site.
Choices About Personal Data
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of personal data held by this site.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Ask for deletion of personal data.
- Opt out of certain forms of processing where that option applies.
These choices concern information held by this private site. A request to change a Morris County, court, TDCJ, BOP, ICE, or other government record must go to the agency that controls it.
