The Morris County Sheriff page expressly links to VINELink for offender custody status. That local adoption matters because the county does not publish a live jail roster, a 24-hour release feed, or a 72-hour release feed. VINELink therefore serves as the county's official online direction for a named-person status check. It does not become a complete Morris County release archive.
VINELink presents information supplied by participating agencies. Select Texas and verify the agency shown in the matching record. The service may cover county or state custody as presented in its current interface, but coverage and available details depend on the provider. It is not the Bureau of Prisons locator, the ICE detainee locator, or a countywide list of recent releases.

Search Morris Inmates on VINELink
Begin with enough known information to avoid a false match. A name alone may identify more than one person. The event must also come from the correct agency and custody episode. Never treat a similar name or an old booking as proof of a current Morris County release.

A “released” result means that provider reported release from the custody attached to the record. It does not by itself show the final court outcome, end every other hold, or prove unrestricted presence in the community. A transfer may also end Morris County Jail custody. A VINE alert is a notice from a status system, not a legal certificate and not a safety guarantee. Save the exact message, reported agency, event time, offender ID, and retrieval time. VINELink Coverage Beyond Morris
VINELink does not replace every locator. The Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator covers BOP records and can use federal identifiers or name-based refiners. The ICE Online Detainee Locator addresses current immigration detention. Neither tool supplies a Morris County recent-release feed, and absence from either system is not automatic proof of community release.
TDCJ has its own online inmate search. Its public search expressly includes only people currently incarcerated in a TDCJ facility. The data updates on working days and is at least 24 hours old. Record the exact agency, identifiers, labels, and retrieval time at every step. That narrow method avoids turning a release from one facility into an unsupported claim about all custody.

When an alert needs documentary support, ask the Morris County Sheriff's Office for the existing booking/release record tied to the correct booking episode. Supply the full name, aliases, date of birth if known, and booking or arrest range.
